The Backlog Report provides unparalleled visibility into hours planned by role that are not yet assigned to specific resources. This feature helps you anticipate upcoming resource needs, ensuring better preparation and project success.

Important: Only users with Admin or Controller access levels will have access to the Resource Planning, Capacity Planning, Utilization Report and Backlog modules.

Review your Backlog

Anyone with the access level of Admin or Controller can see resource requests in the Backlog module. To find the Backlog, choose from the menu Resource Management > Backlog:

All resource requests are listed in the backlog, which displays the requests per role and the number of hours needed throughout the year. The backlog is visible at a Month/Week/Day level:

You can filter further down the backlog based on roles, business units and customers.

The table below will explain the fields:

Field

Description

Only show projects with planned hours

If you check this box, PSOhub will hide any projects for which planned hours have not yet been distributed over a specific period.

PSOhub project stages

Select the project stages you wish to display. Unchecked stages will still be included in the total planned hours but will not appear in the list view. This is especially useful for closed projects.

After applying the filters, you will see a list of the selected roles, with the total planned hours and their distribution across periods, if completed.

The roles can be expanded to see the demand per project and per contract line. Where a request for a resource has been triggered and hours planned, a Schedule button will appear (only in the Month view).
