Create a task board template in the Settings of PSOhub

To facilitate the creation of your task boards, you can leverage task board templates.

You will find them in the Settings (the Gear icon in the main menu) of PSOhub under Templates and Taskboard Templates. You can also create your own task board templates (and base them on existing contract templates) via the Task board templates section. To do so, simply click Create.

In the next window, complete the following fields:

Field

Description

Task board name

Give a name for this task board template.

Note: The task board name must not contain the apostrophe character (').

Create task lists based on contract template

You can select here a contract template whose contract lines will now serve as a base for the task lists of this task board template.

Note: A task board template based on a contract template will relate the task lists to the contract lines and allow you to book time towards the tasks which will be posted on the corresponding contract line.

Description

You can give a description to this task board template; it will be displayed when you select a task board template in a Project or in the Boards.

Once you are done, click Save. PSOhub will now create your task board template.

If you didn't select any template it will display the name of your template at the top left of the screen. From there you will be able to create your tasks and task lists by clicking on Add Tasklist.

If you have selected a contract template, you will now see a prefilled task board with a task list for each contract line of that contract template. Your next step now will be to click on the + button to create tasks for each task list.

When you create a task board template based on a contract template, you will be able to select both when you create a project directly from PSOhub.

You can display your task board template in four different views:

  1. Board view: which will display the tasks as cards.

  2. List view: which will display the tasks in a list.

  3. Kanban view: displays tasks based on a workflow.

  4. Gantt view: displays tasks as a project timeline with any dependencies.

Create a task board template from an existing task board

In PSOhub, you can also create a task board template from an existing task board. To do so, choose from the menu Tasks and Boards. Open a task board and under the ... button click Convert to template.

PSOhub will now generate a task board template that you will find under Settings / task board templates and which will be available when you create a task board for a project or a task board without a project.
