The project workload is about overseeing the planned versus used hours.

Choose from the menu Resources and Project Workload:

The left side of the page displays the following information:

  • Project: All projects are displayed regardless if they have planned or used hours.

  • Hours used: Will display the % of used hours versus planned hours. If no hours were planned, it will automatically show 100%. If you hover your mouse over the progress bar, you will see the total hours used.

By default, the Hours view is displayed.

This view displays the following information:

Planned

  • The number of all hours planned per month and summed up in the Total column.

  • If planning is not broken down by month but rather entered directly in the Total column as a lump sum, then it will also be included in the Project Workload's Total column.

Used

The number of all hours booked per resource per month. This is summed up in the Total column.

At the top of the page the total Planned hours is displayed for all projects combined, as well as the Remaining hours.

At the bottom of the page, the Grand Total displays the summed up number for Planned and Used hours for all resources per project combined.

The planned hours comes from the budgeted hours for the resources at project level via the Workload Sheet.

To view the value of the hours, click Amount:

The Amount view displays the actual hours and planned hours per month that are summed up in the Total column:
