In PSOhub, quotes can be deleted in specific situations based on their stage. This guide will explain how to delete quotes, including through the use of the Test Quote feature.
Only quotes with the stage Draft can be deleted directly. For quotes in the stages Submitted, Declined or Expired, the quote must first be revoked before it can be deleted. Signed quotes with an associated project cannot be deleted or revoked. For these quotes, the Test Quote feature will need to be used.
Deleting a Draft quote
A draft quote is a quote that has been created but has not yet been published or sent to the customer. It can also refer to a quote that was previously Submitted, Declined, or Expired and has since been revoked, returning it to the draft stage.
Go to Quotes
Open the desired draft quote
In the contract pane, click the ellipsis (...) button and select Delete.
The Confirmation message box appears:
Click Proceed.
Deleting a Submitted quote
A submitted quote is a quote that has been published and sent to the customer for them to sign or decline. Submitted quotes cannot be deleted immediately.
You must first revoke it to move it back to the Draft stage. Once in Draft stage, the quote can be deleted.
Refer to the support article Revoke a Quote for steps on how to revoke the submitted quote. You can then follow the instructions above on deleting a draft quote.
Deleting a Signed quote
Once a quote has been moved to the Signed stage, it cannot be deleted or revoked, due to the fact that it is now associated with a project.
To delete a signed quote, you must first delete the project associated with it. Refer to the support article on Delete a project set to Active for steps to delete the associated project.
After the project has been deleted, you can set the quote to a Test Quote:
Go to Quotes
Open the desired signed quote
In the left-hand side menu, click on Edit
Scroll down and for the option Test Quote, select Yes
Click Save
In the contract pane, click the ellipsis (...) button and select Delete.
Deleting a Declined quote
A declined quote that has been returned by the customer cannot be deleted. As with Submitted quotes, you must first revoke it back to the Draft stage. Once in Draft stage, the quote can be deleted.
Refer to the support article Revoke a Quote for steps on how to revoke the submitted quote. You can then follow the instructions above on deleting a draft quote.
Deleting an Expired quote
An expired quote is a quote that has been sent to the customer, but has been neither signed nor declined by the Expiration Date. An expired quote must first be revoked and returned to the Draft stage. Once in Draft stage, the quote can be deleted.
Refer to the support article Revoke a Quote for steps on how to revoke the submitted quote. You can then follow the instructions above on deleting a draft quote.
Access Levels and Permissions
Only users with the Sales Rep (specifically the Sales Rep assigned to quote), Controller or Admin access levels on PSOhub can mark as quote as a Test Quote.
