How to use tags (or keywords) for contacts

Tags (or keywords) can be applied to Contacts so that they can be easily identified in searches for many reasons:

  • Role(s)

  • Responsibilities

  • Location/Region

  • Languages

  • Products

By applying tags, you can increase your search capabilities.

Below, you will see that a Contact has the tags Consultant, English and German associated to it, to identify the person's role and languages.

A tag(s) can be created on the fly by simply typing the keyword and pressing Enter to accept it (e.g "Full_t" for Full_time), or selecting an existing keyword(s) from a list based on the Tags settings:

Filter on Tags

Choose from the menu Contacts. When you click on the Filters button, the Tags field is featured:

In the Tags field, you can enter an existing tag (defined in the Tags settings) to filter the contacts. In this example, the tag consultant has been used. When the tag is entered, it will appear with a green filter button which can be removed to clear the filter:

In the background, the Contacts will only display records matching the tag. Close the Filter window to see the results:
