This project manager will have the same access level as the "Project Manager with access to financials including the selling rate but no cost rate" but this time the role will include the Cost Rate. He/she will also have access to the Personal dashboard and Project Dashboard.

To configure the project manager to have full access to project financials including the Selling Rate and Cost Rate, see below:

The project manager role is selected as the Access level. To have access to all project financials with the Selling Rate and Cost Rate, both check boxes should be selected. Then, click the Save button.

Note: if a person with access level of Project Manager with access to financials including selling and cost rates is added as a team member on a project, this person will NOT be able to modify the project (as would the actual project manager of the project).

When the project manager signs in, he/she will has access to all modules: Quotes, Projects, Tasks, Resources and Time & Expenses as well as the Contacts and Companies. They will have no access to the organizational settings:

The Quotes module

In the Quotes module, the project manager will see their own quotes with financial information.

When a quote is selected, it is displayed with its contract lines confirming the Amount and Budget as well as the Total quote value.

When clicking on the Contract arrow, you will have the option to select the Estimated Profitability report for the quote:

The project's profitability will display the Budget (Sales) based on the Selling Rate, the Budget (Costs) based on the Cost Rate, Profit and profit Margin %:

When adding team members or roles to a quote, the project manager will see both the Selling Rate and Cost Rate:

The Projects module

When in a project, the project manager will have access to profitability reports: Estimated Profitability, Actual Profitability and Planned vs Used Hours views:

Resource Planning

The project manager will have access to plan resources and budgeting for project they own using the Workload sheet. He/she will see the planned resources with their selling rate, the number of hours planned and the value of the hours:

The Invoices view

All invoice information is displayed for projects owned or assigned to the project manager:

The Tasks module

In the Tasks module, the project manager will be able to assign tasks to resources and/or business units, see their own tasks as well as all tasks, plans and Gantt charts for projects he/she own.

Task Management

The project manager will have an overview of their assigned tasks and grouped into categories:

  • Overdue

  • Due Today

  • Upcoming

  • Unplanned

  • Completed

My Tasks

The project manager will see all tasks assigned to him/her and grouped into the categories:

  • Overdue

  • Due Today

  • Upcoming

  • Unplanned

  • Completed

Plans

When the project manager clicks on Plans, he/she will have access to all plans for projects they own as well as those they are assigned to:

Timeline view

The Timeline view will show all projects owned by the project manager that have been marked as a favourite. Here, the project manager can expand the plans and zoom in on the timelines for an overview of the projects progress:

All Tasks view

When the project manager clicks on All Tasks, he/she will have access to all tasks for projects owned and projects where they're a team member:

The Resources module

Unlike the basic project manager, this project manager will have the ability to track Planned and Used hours across all projects using the Project Planning module.

The Time & Expenses module

The project manager will have full access to all time and expenses, including the Selling Rate and Total amounts.

This project manager will have access to the Personal and Project Dashboards:
