Admin access users can create key skill sets required for projects and map them to users. This will enable you to find the best-suited resources for the right project and identify opportunities to develop your team's capabilities.

To create a new skill, in the main menu, click on the Gear icon. Under User Management select Skills.

Skills are defined by category and level:

Let's first create a skill category followed by creating and mapping some skills. In the Skills Categories tab, click the Add skill category button. Enter a skill category name, e.g. Digital Marketing, Project Management, Programming, Languages.

Click Save. Repeat these steps to create additional categories:

Now, click on the Skills tab and click on the Add Skill button. In the Skill field, enter a new skill, for example, French. In the Level field, select the skill level (Low, Medium or High), and in the Category list, map the skill to the relevant category.

Click Save to display the skills in the overview:

Once the skills are created, they are ready to be added to your users' profiles in the Resources module.

Modify a skill or skill category

To modify an existing skill or category, select the skill or category:

You can edit the skill's name, level and category and click Save.

The category name can be edited and resaved.

Resources (users) mapped to the modified skill will be automatically updated in the Resources module.

Delete a skill or skill category

Skills can be selected from the Skills tab and deleted. Once deleted, the skills are removed from the user's resource profile.

Note: Skill categories can only be deleted if not associated with skills. When you click the Delete button, a confirmation message appears:

When you click Proceed and the skill category is linked to resources, the following message will appear:
