Create a plan without a project

Learn how to create a plan without a project

In PSOhub, you can create a plan that is not related to any project.

In this case however, you won't be able to book time towards the tasks because their respective task list will not be related to any project contract line.

To create a plan without a project, choose from the menu Plans and Plans:

Here, you will find an overview of all plans. To create a new plan without a project, click Create.

PSOhub will open the following dialog box for you to complete:

Description

Name

Enter the name for this plan.

 

Note: The plan name must not contain the apostrophe character (').

Link to project without a plan (optional)

Leave this field blank.

Start

By default, this is today's date.

ETA

The estimated completion date.

Stage

By default, plan stages are Active and Closed. In the Project settings, you can define additional stages.

Project Manager

Select the project's owner.

Based on plan template

This field is optional. You can decide to select a plan template here or to create a new plan from a blank slate.

Click Save. PSOhub will now display your new plan.

From this plan, you can:

  • Add a task

  • Modify a task

  • Assign a task to one or multiple resources (in this event, since you are not within a project, you will have access to all the resources within your organization in PSOhub).

  • Add a note and/or a document

  • Create milestones (in this case they will not trigger an invoice upon completion since no contract line is related to the milestone).

Once you are done creating your tasks, you can move them around with the click, drag and release functionality - within the same task list or across task lists within the plan.
