How to Create Currencies and Change Their Exchange Rate in PSOhub

Objective

This article explains how to add a new currency to PSOhub and how to update an existing currency's exchange rate by archiving the old rate and creating a new one.

Prerequisites

You must have Admin or Controller access in PSOhub.

How to Create a Currency

📌 Note: Your organization's base currency is created automatically in PSOhub based on            the selection you made when setting up your organization. Additional currencies can                be added at any time.

Steps

  1. Click the Gear icon in the main menu to open Settings.
  2. Click Organization. Select the Currencies tab.
  3. Click Add currency.
  4. In the Currency field, type the first few letters of the currency or scroll through the dropdown to find it.
  5. Enter the Exchange rate for the currency relative to your base currency.
  6. Click Save. The new currency appears in the Currencies list and is immediately available for use on new projects.

 

How to Change the Exchange Rate of a Currency

Exchange rates cannot be edited directly. To update a rate, you must first archive the currency with the current rate and then add the currency again with the new rate.

📌 Note: The new exchange rate applies to new projects only. Existing projects continue              to use the archived rate. Archiving a currency does not affect any projects already                    created with that currency.

Step 1: Archive the current rate

  1. In the Currencies list, click the currency whose rate you want to update.
  2. In the Edit currency dialog box, click Archive.
  3. In the confirmation window, click Proceed. The currency is archived. The archived rate remains active for all existing projects.

Step 2: Add the currency with the new rate

  1. Click Add currency.
  2. Select the same currency from the dropdown.
  3. Enter the updated Exchange rate.
  4. Click Save. The currency now appears in the Currencies list with the new rate and will be applied to all new projects going forward.

View archived currencies

To see a list of currencies that have been archived:

  1. In the Currencies list, select No from the drop-down menu in the field of the Active column.
  2. Archived currencies are displayed with their historical rates. Select Yes in the Active field again to return to the active currencies list.

Result

New currencies are available immediately across PSOhub for use on projects, quotes, and contract templates. Updated exchange rates apply to new projects only — existing projects retain the rate that was active when they were created.
