How to increase rates with AI Actions
This guide shows you how to raise the rates of team members on PSOhub projects by a percentage, by asking your AI assistant, Claude or ChatGPT. It works like Increase rates in PSOhub and is typically used for a yearly price indexation, on up to 25 projects at once.
New to AI Actions? Start with AI Actions: create and update PSOhub data with your AI assistant. It explains how the preview and your approval work.
Before you start- Your AI assistant, Claude or ChatGPT, is connected to PSOhub. See Connecting your AI assistant to PSOhub.
- Your account has access to AI Actions, a paid feature.
- You are an administrator or controller. Raising cost rates also requires the right to change cost rates.
These requests replace opening every project and changing each team member's rate.

You say |
What happens |
|---|---|
|
"Increase all sales rates by 3.5% on our active Acme projects." |
Every active team member with a rate on those projects gets a 3.5% higher sales rate, rounded to cents. The preview lists old and new rates per person. |
|
"Index all active projects by 4% and recalculate the unbilled hours since 1 January." |
New rates on up to 25 projects per request, and the hours since 1 January that aren't invoiced yet are recalculated at the new rates. The recalculation asks for its own yes. |
|
"Raise sales and cost rates of the Consultant role by 5% on Website relaunch and Acme Support." |
Only team members in the Consultant role get the new rates, on both projects. |
|
You say |
What happens |
|---|---|
|
"Increase the rates on Website relaunch by 3%." |
All team members with a rate on that project get 3% higher sales rates. |
|
"Set Eva's rate on Website relaunch to €110." |
A fixed new rate for one person is done in the project team; see How to manage the project team with AI Actions. |
|
"Raise the standard Consultant rate to €140." |
Standard role rates are changed in the master data; see How to manage skills and roles with AI Actions. |
- Tell your assistant the percentage and the projects. Name the projects, or describe them, such as "all active Acme projects". Mention a role if only that role should change.
- Say whether unbilled hours should be recalculated. Optionally from a date, such as 1 January.
- Check the preview. You see the old and new rate per team member per project.
- Approve. Say yes, or click the approve button if your assistant shows one. Recalculating hours, and changing more than 10 projects at once, each ask for a separate yes.

What changes, and what doesn't
- Changes now: the rates of active team members with a rate (no guests), rounded to cents. New time entries get the new rate, and the budget grid follows.
- Doesn't change: planned amounts in the resource planning, invoiced hours, and the standard rates of the roles.
- No future date: an increase always applies straight away. For a date in the future, do the increase on that day.
Verify it workedNote: recalculating unbilled hours changes the amounts of hours that are already booked. That's why it always asks for its own yes.
- After saving, the assistant tells you how many team members on which projects got new rates.
- Open the project team of a project to see the new rates.
- A recalculation of unbilled hours runs in the background and can take a few minutes.

These are done in PSOhub itself, or with another AI Action:
- A start date in the future. Do the increase on that day.
- Changing invoiced hours. Those never change.
- Changing planned amounts in the resource planning.
- More than 25 projects in one request. Split the projects over more requests.
- A fixed new rate for one person. Use the project team; see How to manage the project team with AI Actions.
- Some team members didn't change. They have no rate, are inactive, or are guests. Only active members with a rate are included.
- The cost rate didn't change. You don't have the right to change cost rates.
- Booked hours still show the old amount. Unbilled hours are only recalculated when you ask for it. Ask again with recalculation.
- A project is refused. Only active and proposal projects can be included.
Does a rate increase change my role rates in the settings?
No. It only changes the rates on the projects you name. Standard role rates are changed separately; see How to manage skills and roles with AI Actions.
Can I schedule an increase for 1 January?
No. An increase applies straight away. Ask for it on 1 January, and recalculate unbilled hours from that date if needed.
Are invoiced hours recalculated?
Never. Only hours that aren't invoiced yet, and only when you ask for it.
