How to plan leave with AI Actions
This guide shows you how to plan leave in PSOhub, such as holiday, absence and public holidays, by asking your AI assistant, Claude or ChatGPT. Planned leave works like My Scheduler: it lowers the capacity that is available for resource planning. It doesn't book hours.
New to AI Actions? Start with AI Actions: create and update PSOhub data with your AI assistant. It explains how the preview and your approval work.
Before you start- Your AI assistant, Claude or ChatGPT, is connected to PSOhub. See Connecting your AI assistant to PSOhub.
- Your account has access to AI Actions, a paid feature.
- To plan leave for colleagues or public holidays, you are an administrator or controller.
Big jobs in one requestNote: planning leave and booking leave as hours are two different things. Booking holiday or absence hours, which counts towards the holiday balance, is explained in How to log and change hours with AI Actions.

Your own leave, leave for colleagues, and public holidays |
|
Other roles |
Your own leave |
- Periods longer than 31 days in one item. Split them into more items.
- Booking leave as hours with this action. That is done as time entries; see How to log and change hours with AI Actions.
- Changing the dates of planned leave directly. The assistant removes it and adds a new period instead.
- Leave for a colleague is refused. Only administrators and controllers can plan leave for others.
- A period is refused. It is longer than 31 days. Split it.
- The holiday balance didn't change. Planned leave doesn't book hours. Book the leave as hours to update the balance.
- The hours look wrong. By default PSOhub uses the person's working hours in the period. Give the hours yourself for a part-time day.
What's the difference between planning leave and booking leave?
Planned leave lowers capacity in the planning, so nobody gets planned on those days. Booked leave is a time entry that counts towards the holiday balance.
Can I plan public holidays?
Yes, as an administrator or controller. PSOhub has no public holiday calendar, so planning them yourself keeps capacity right.
