Objective

This article is a field-level reference for the project properties section in PSOhub. Use it to look up what each field controls, when it applies, and how it affects invoicing, reporting, and project management.

Overview

Project properties are found in the left pane of the project screen. Most fields can be edited via the Edit button at the bottom of the left pane, or by clicking the ellipsis (...) in the middle pane and selecting Edit.

The right pane displays the company and contact(s) linked to the project. The Hours, Expenses, and Invoices sections in the right pane populate as the project progresses.

The Total Project Value field is calculated automatically and cannot be edited.

Project properties fields

The table below describes every field available in the project properties section.

General

Field Description
Name The project name. If the project was created from a HubSpot deal, it inherits the deal name and can be overwritten. If created from a HubSpot contact or company, PSOhub includes that contact or company name. Projects created directly in PSOhub use the name entered at creation.
Currency The currency used for the project. Projects from HubSpot, Salesforce, or Dynamics inherit the currency of the originating deal or opportunity. Projects created directly in PSOhub allow manual currency selection. The currency must first be configured in Currency settings.
Type A project type used to categorize the project for filtering and reporting. PSOhub includes standard project types, which can be modified or extended in Project settings.
Description Free-text field for additional project details or scope notes.
Start Date The project start date. Defaults to the project creation date and can be changed.
Expected end date The anticipated end date of the project.
Deal Amount The value of the originating deal, carried over from HubSpot or other connected CRMs. Can be manually entered for projects created directly in PSOhub.

Invoicing

Field Description
Due Days Invoice The number of days after the invoice date before payment is due. Defaults to the value configured in Invoice settings and can be overridden at the project level.
Invoice detail level Controls the layout of generated invoices. Summary produces an invoice at the contract line level. Detailed produces a summary page plus an annex showing individual time entries for T&M and Expenses lines. Fixed Fee lines do not include a detailed annex.
Invoice language The language displayed on invoices for this project. If one language is configured in Invoice settings, it populates automatically. If two languages are configured, the default language is shown and can be changed via the dropdown. Applies only to invoices sent directly to customers using the standard PSOhub invoice layout — not to custom invoice templates or invoices sent to accounting software.
Smart invoice status Sets the default status of invoices generated from smart contracts. Draft holds the invoice for review. Approved and Send automatically approves the invoice and sends it to the customer. If a financial integration is active, the invoice is also booked in the connected accounting system automatically.
Reference A PO number, reference code, or custom label. Appears on invoices sent to the customer. Also used to pass reference data to integrated financial systems.
Invoice contact The contact person to whom invoices for this project are sent.

People and structure

Field Description
Project Manager The user responsible for this project. The project appears in their Project dashboard. If no default sender is configured in Invoice settings, the Project Manager's name and organization are displayed as the invoice sender.
Business unit The legal entity, department, team, or division that owns the project. Business units are defined in Organization settings.
Internal project Marks the project as internal, enabling time tracking for non-billable work such as internal meetings, R&D, or business development. Can be changed at any time until invoicing begins — once an invoice is generated, this option is no longer available.

Calculated fields

Field Description
Total Project Value A read-only calculated field representing the total value of all contract line amounts, excluding expenses. This field cannot be modified.

Project files

Files related to a project can be attached or linked via the Files tab in the middle pane of the project screen.
