Objective
Understand PSOhub's position on liability for API usage and your responsibilities as a user when interacting with the PSOhub database via the API.
Introduction
PSOhub provides its API to allow users to integrate PSOhub with other applications and to facilitate the management of their data. It is essential that all users understand their responsibility when using the API to perform actions that affect data within the PSOhub database.
PSOhub expressly disclaims any and all responsibility for actions taken by a user, or on a user's behalf, through the API that result in the creation, updating, or deletion of records in the PSOhub database.
What This Disclaimer Covers
This disclaimer applies to, but is not limited to, the following scenarios:
Data loss or corruption: Any loss, corruption, or alteration of data resulting from API calls initiated by the user — including accidental deletion of records, incorrect data entry, or unintended modifications to existing information.
Erroneous data creation: The creation of inaccurate or unwanted records due to user error, misconfiguration of third-party applications, or automated processes interacting with the API.
Unintended updates: Any modifications to records that were not the original intention of the user, whether executed manually or through an automated workflow connected to the API.
Your Responsibilities as an API User
By using the PSOhub API, you are solely responsible for:
- Thoroughly testing and validating any scripts, applications, or integrations that connect to the PSOhub API before deploying them in a production environment.
- Implementing appropriate safeguards and access controls to prevent unauthorized or unintended data manipulation.
- Understanding the potential impact of API calls on your data and ensuring that all actions are intended and correctly executed.
- Backing up or otherwise securing your data independently of the PSOhub platform.
⚠️ Important: By using the PSOhub API, you acknowledge and agree that you are fully responsible for any and all changes made to your data. PSOhub shall not be liable for any damages — including direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages or losses — that may result from the use or misuse of the API to manipulate data.
We strongly recommend that you exercise extreme caution and diligence when performing any data modification actions via the API.
