Objective
This article explains how to configure a task as a milestone in PSOhub and link it to a contract line so that an invoice is automatically generated when the milestone is marked as complete.
Prerequisites
Eligible access
You must have Admin, Controller, or Project Manager access in PSOhub.
Fixed fee contract line
A project with at least one Fixed Fee contract line must already exist.
Task set up in project plan
The task must already exist in the project plan.
Steps
- Open the project and navigate to the Tasks tab.
- Click the task you want to set as a milestone to open its properties.
- Scroll down in the right-hand pane of the Task properties to toggle on Milestone.
- Select the contract line to be invoiced when this milestone is completed in the Invoice Contract Line on Milestone Completion field,
- Click Save. The milestone is indicated by a flag icon in the task board and task list.
- When the milestone task is marked as complete, PSOhub will prompt you to confirm the invoice generation.
- In the confirmation message that appears, click Continue. PSOhub automatically generates an invoice for the contract line linked to this milestone.
Result
An invoice is automatically generated for the linked contract line as soon as the milestone task is marked as complete. You can find the invoice in the Invoices tab of the project as well as the Invoices module in the main menu, where it can be reviewed, modified, and sent to the customer.
