Audience

  • Admin

  • Controller

  • Project Manager

Objective

This article explains how to link a PSOhub project to a Slack channel so your team receives project alerts and activity updates directly in Slack. You can create a new channel or use an existing one.

Prerequisites

Your PSOhub organization must already be connected to Slack.

You must have Admin, Controller, or Project Manager access in PSOhub.

The project must already exist in PSOhub.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the dashboard of the project you want to connect.
  2. Click the ... (more options) button in the project header.
  3. Click Share to Slack.
  4. The Slack connection screen will appear. Choose one of the following options:
    • Create a new channel — PSOhub will create a dedicated Slack channel for this project.
    • Use an existing channel — Select a channel that already exists in your Slack workspace.

       5.    Select the required notification settings for the channel.

💡 Tip: You can choose which types of alerts and activities are sent to the channel. Review          the available options before connecting to avoid notification overload.

         6.    Click Connect.

         7.    Once connected, you can access the linked Slack channel directly from the project by                                 clicking ... and selecting the Slack link.

📌 Note: The types of alerts and activities visible in Slack depend on the notification                      settings selected in step 5. You can update these settings later from the same ... menu.

Result

The project is now linked to a Slack channel. Your team will receive project alerts and activity updates in Slack based on the notification settings you configured.

Troubleshooting

The Share to Slack option is not visible in the ... menu.
Confirm that your PSOhub organization is connected to Slack. See Slack integration: How to connect PSOhub to Slack. If the connection is active and the option is still missing, check that you have the required user access level for this project.

I connected the project but the Slack channel is not receiving any messages.
Check the notification settings for the linked channel. If no alert types were selected during setup, no messages will be sent. Reconnect the project and select at least one notification type.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I change the connected Slack channel after setup?
Yes. Go to the project dashboard, click ..., and select Share to Slack. You can update the channel selection from there. If the option is not visible, disconnect the existing channel first and reconnect with your preferred channel.

Who can connect a project to Slack?
Users with Admin, Controller, or Project Manager access can connect a project to Slack, provided the organization-level Slack connection is already active.
