Custom Quote and Project Numbers: How to Create Them in PSOhub

Learn how to modify default quote and project numbers and search for custom numbers in your Projects overview

Objective

This article explains how to create a custom quote and project numbers in PSOhub and how to filter and search for them in the Projects overview.

Prerequisites

✅ You must have Admin, Controller, or Project Manager user access in PSOhub.
✅ The quote or project must already exist in PSOhub and have a default number                            assigned.
Steps
  1. Open the Quote or Project you want to update.
  2. In the left-hand pane, click Edit (pencil icon) in the properties section.
  3. Locate the Project Number or Quote Number field and enter your custom number.
  4. Click Save.

⚠️ Important: Modifying a quote or project number does not reset the automatic                            numbering sequence. PSOhub continues generating numbers based on the original                  sequence. For example, if the original number was PRO-2026-151 and you change it to          SOW-BH2026-001, the next project created will automatically be assigned PRO-                     2026-152. Any custom numbers after that will need to be managed manually.

How to Search for Custom Project Numbers

Default project numbers can only be searched in the Project Number column of the Projects overview. To search for custom project numbers, use the Project Number Custom column instead.

  1. Go to the Projects overview.
  2. Scroll far right to the Project Number Custom column to search for your custom project number.

💡 Tip: You can reorder columns in the overview by clicking a column heading and                            dragging it to your preferred position.

Result

Your quote or project is updated with the custom number. The default numbering sequence continues unaffected for all future quotes and projects. Custom numbers are searchable in the Project Number Custom column of the Projects overview.
