Published 19 June 2025

Dear PSOhub Users,

This 5.3.3 release introduces several exciting updates designed to enhance your reporting and integration capabilities. Highlights include the ability to create custom reports in Excel, a new integration with SAP Business One, and fixes to improve usability. Read on for a detailed overview of what’s new and improved.

New Features & Enhancements

Custom reports in Excel

You can now build custom reports in Excel to gain deeper insights into your project data. The following types of reports can be created to track key metrics across your organization:
  • Project financials, effort, and performance across all projects.
See this article for guidance on building a report to track overall project performance and financials.

  • Time entries, billable hours, and costs filtered by user, project, or role.
Refer to this article for steps on reporting time and cost data by user, project, or role.

  • Project costs, reimbursables, and VAT amounts for accurate financial tracking.
Check out this article for instructions on tracking detailed project costs, including reimbursables and VAT.

  • Billed revenue, invoice status, and other key financial indicators.
View this article to learn how to report on revenue, invoice progress, and other financial metrics.

These flexible reporting options allow you to tailor insights to your specific business needs and decision-making processes.

You can also create a task report to view assigned work, status, effort, and progress across all project plans, giving you clear visibility into team workload and project execution.

New Integration: PSOhub with SAP Business One

We’re excited to introduce our new integration with SAP Business One, designed to streamline your project and financial workflows.

With this integration, you can now push PSOhub invoices directly to SAP Business One for centralized financial management.

This integration ensures better alignment between your project delivery and financial operations, saving time and reducing manual effort.

For configuration steps, refer to this article. For invoicing to SAP Business One, check out this article.

Improvements and Fixes

  • Project Import – Stage Mapping to Custom Stages

We’ve enhanced the project import functionality to support automatic mapping of the Stage field to your custom stages in PSOhub.

    With this improvement:

    • When importing projects via Excel, the Stage column now links directly to your predefined Custom Stages.

    • This ensures projects are imported with the correct stage, aligning with your internal processes.

    • Reduces the need for manual updates after import.

  • Hours Import – Contract Line Now Includes ID Number
We’ve enhanced the hours import file to support referencing contract lines by their ID number, providing greater accuracy and flexibility during data import.
    Please refer to this article.

    With this update:

    • The Contract Line column in the import file now accepts the unique Contract Line ID.

    • This ensures imported hours are matched to the correct contract line, even when multiple lines have similar names.

    • Reduces errors and simplifies bulk time entry for complex contracts.

  • Hours Import – “Type” Column Now Supports Engagement, Holiday, Absence, and Internal
We’ve updated the hours import file to enhance the classification of time entries through the Type column. Please refer to this article.

    With this improvement:

    • The Type column now supports the following values: Engagement, Holiday, Absence, and Internal.

    • This allows you to accurately categorize hours during import, aligning with how time is tracked and reported in PSOhub.

    • Enhances reporting accuracy and ensures proper allocation of non-billable and billable time.

  • Mass Contact Import via Excel
We’ve enhanced the Mass Contact Import feature to make it easier and more reliable to add multiple contacts to PSOhub using an Excel file.
Refer to this article for the latest instructions.
  • Project Import – Support for Cost Rate Field
We’ve enhanced the project import file to now support importing the Cost Rate for project roles and resources.

    With this improvement:

    • You can now include a Cost Rate column in your Excel import to define the internal cost of assigned resources directly during project setup.

    • This helps streamline financial planning by reducing the need for manual rate entry after import.

    • Ensures consistency and accuracy in project budgeting and reporting.

Refer to this article for the updated import template and field mapping guidelines.

  • Utilization Report Bars Now Reflect Target Utilization
The bars in the Utilization Report were previously based on full capacity rather than the target utilization. For example, a resource with a 40-hour workweek and a 50% target utilization would appear as 100% utilized when booked for 20 hours. This has been modified—the bars now reflect utilization relative to the target, providing a more accurate visual representation.
  • Search Added to Contract and Plan Templates
A search field has been added to the Contract Templates and Plan Templates settings, making it easier to quickly find the templates you need.
  • Fixes:

    • Project Manager Basic Cannot Access Their Personal Dashboard
Access to this dashboard has been restored for Project Manager users without financial permissions.

    • Customer Column Sorting in All Tasks View
Previously, the Customer column in the All Tasks view displayed customer names in a random order. The customer names now appear in alphanumeric order, ensuring easier navigation and consistency.
    • Project Status Conflict When PM Approval Is Cancelled
Previously, when setting a project from Draft to Active with PM approval enabled, clicking Cancel on the Project Manager assignment popup caused the project to appear Active, while it remained in Draft status in the background.

This inconsistency made the project unusable despite its visual status. With this update, the project status will only change to Active when a Project Manager is successfully assigned, keeping both the visible and functional status in sync.
    • The Utilization Report displayed incorrect totals when Internal Projects was not selected
This has now been resolved—totals are accurately calculated, and both versions of the report (with or without Internal Projects selected) now display correct figures.
