How to Create a Project from a Pipedrive Deal

Objective
This article explains how to use Pipedrive project management to create a new project in PSOhub by linking it to an existing Pipedrive deal. The project is pre-populated with deal data and is ready for contract setup, team assignment, and time tracking.
Prerequisites
Steps
- Click the Projects menu in the left navigation and select Projects. Click Create.
- In the creation window, click CRM.
- Type the name of the Pipedrive deal in the search field and click Search.
- Select the deal from the results list to link it to your new project.
📌 Note: PSOhub will automatically populate the project name, description, currency, and deal amount from the Pipedrive deal.
5. In Step 1: Identification, complete the project fields. Click Next.
6. In Step 2: Setup contract, select a contract template from the list. Click Next.
7. In Step 3: Add team, add team members to the project if known - Use Filter on Business Unit to narrow the list of available users.
8. Select users from the Resources list and click Add to team.
9. Click Create.Result
Your project is created in PSOhub and linked to the Pipedrive deal. PSOhub generates a unique project number and carries over the deal name, description, currency, and deal amount. The linked deal is accessible directly from the project's left panel.
Time and expense entries, invoices, and other project activity can now be recorded as the project progresses.
Troubleshooting
The deal does not appear in the search results.
Check that your Pipedrive integration is active under Settings > Integrations. If the deal was created recently, allow a few minutes for the sync to complete. If the issue persists, disconnect and reconnect the Pipedrive integration.
The currency is incorrect after the deal is linked.
PSOhub sets the project currency to match the deal currency in Pipedrive. If this is incorrect, check the currency settings on the deal in Pipedrive before creating the project. You cannot change the project currency after the project has been created.
Team members are not visible in the Add team step.
Confirm that the relevant users have been added to PSOhub and assigned to the correct business unit. Use the Filter on Business Unit dropdown to check other units if users do not appear in the default view.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I link a project to a Pipedrive deal after the project has been created?
No. The link between a project and a Pipedrive deal can only be set during the project creation process. If the project was created without a CRM link, you will need to create a new project and link it to the deal at that point.
What information is carried over from the Pipedrive deal?
PSOhub automatically imports the deal name, description, currency, and deal amount. Company and contact information associated with the deal in Pipedrive is also brought into the project.
Can I change the project name after it has been created?
Yes. You can edit the project name and other general information at any time by clicking Edit in the project's left panel.
Can I add team members after the project has been created?
Yes. You can add, remove, or update team members from the project view at any time by navigating to the Team section of the project.
