How to Assign Backup Project Managers in PSOhub

Objective

This article explains how to assign a Backup Project Manager to a project in PSOhub.

Prerequisites

✅ Admin access
You must have Admin, Controller, or Project Manager user access in PSOhub.

✅ Pre-existing project
The project must already exist in PSOhub.

✅ Your new Backup Project Manager already has access
The team member you want to assign must already be added to the project and must have an eligible access level.

Steps

Open the project you want to assign a Backup Project Manager to.
Navigate to the Team tab. You will see a list of individuals on the project team with corresponding information columns labelled Active, Role, Rate, Cost Rate, Alerts, and Backup PM.
Locate the team member you want to assign as a Backup Project Manager. Click on the ⭐icon in the corresponding Backup PM column. The Member pane is now displayed.
Scroll down to the bottom of the Member pane. Toggle the Backup Project Manager switch to On. Click Save.

📌 Note: Only team members with an eligible access level will display a Backup Project Manager toggle on their Member pane. Team members without an eligible access level will not show this option.

Result

The selected team member is assigned as a Backup Project Manager on the project. They now have the same permissions as the primary Project Manager and can act on the project accordingly.

You can assign more than one Backup Project Manager to a project by repeating these steps for each team member. Backup Project Managers have their ⭐filled in the Backup PM column of the Team tab.
