Objective

This article explains how to set a contract line budget in PSOhub for each invoice method — Fixed fee, Time & Materials, Product, Retainer, and Expense — so your project tracks revenue, cost, and margin accurately from day one.

Prerequisites

You must have Admin, Controller, or Project Manager access in PSOhub.

If you have Project Manager access, you must be the assigned project manager for a              project.

At least one contract group and contract line must exist on the project.

Roles and rates should be fully configured

Steps

  1. Open the project and navigate to the Financials tab.
  2. Click the contract line you want to configure to open the Contract Line modal.
  3. Select the tab that matches the invoice method for this line: Fixed fee, Time & Materials, Product, Retainer, or Expense.

For Fixed fee, Time & Materials, Retainer, and Expense lines:
    Field Description
Amount The agreed value billed to the customer for this line
Sales Budget The internal revenue target for this line
Budget Costs The estimated internal cost to deliver this line
    For Product lines:
    Field Description
Quantity The number of units sold
Price per Unit The selling price per unit
Cost per Unit The internal cost per unit
  4. Click Save.

📌 Note: For Product lines, Amount, Sales Budget, and Budget Costs calculate                                automatically based on quantity and unit prices. These fields cannot be edited directly.

Result

The budget values are saved on the contract line. PSOhub uses these values to calculate margin, measure budget usage in real time, and generate financial reports as time and expenses are logged against the line.
