Objective
This article explains how to create an hours report in PSOhub by filtering time entries, customizing columns, and exporting the data to Excel for further analysis.
Prerequisites
Eligible access
You must have Admin, Controller, or Project Manager access in PSOhub.
Steps
- In the main menu, navigate to Time & Expenses > All Hours to report on hours across your organization.
- Alternatively, you can report on hours for a specific project by opening the project's Hours tab and following the same steps below.
- Click Edit Columns in the top-right corner to select which columns to display and set their order.
3. Use the filters at the top of the grid columns to narrow the data to the time entries you want to report on. You can click Clear Filters when needed.
4. Click Export.
5. Open the downloaded file from your browser to view the report in Excel.
Working with Excel Functions
When exporting hours from PSOhub, certain fields are formatted as text by default, which prevents Excel formulas such as SUM() or AVERAGE() from working directly on them. These fields include:
- Hours
- Selling Rate
- Total Amount
- Total Cost Rate Base
- Total Selling
To perform calculations in Excel without manually converting data types, use the following numeric-formatted fields available in the export:

💡 Tip: Always use the (Excel) version of a field when you plan to perform calculations in your exported spreadsheet.
Result
Your hours report is downloaded as an Excel file containing the filtered time entries and selected columns. You can follow these same steps to create an hours report both from the Time & Expenses module and the Hours tab of a project. Use the (Excel) numeric fields for accurate calculations across hours, amounts, and costs.
