Objective
This article explains how to view and manage absences, holidays, and public holidays for your resources in PSOhub's Resource Planning. Once absences are scheduled, they automatically reflect in each resource's available capacity, ensuring your planning stays accurate.
You must have Admin, Operations, or Resource Manager access in PSOhub.
Absences, holidays, or public holidays must already be scheduled using the Scheduler or the Absence Calendar.📌 Note: Only Admin users can access the Absence Calendar. Admins, controllers, and project managers can use the Scheduler.
Steps
- Navigate to Resource Management > Capacity Management.
- Locate the resource and click Planning.
- The planning window opens. Absences, holidays, and public holidays appear alongside the resource's project assignments.
- To show only absences and holidays, click Filters and deselect all project stages.
- To switch to a daily or weekly breakdown, click Week or Day in the top-left corner.
📌 Note: Absence and holiday hours are automatically reflected in the capacity overview at the top of the planning window.
Result
You can see the resource's scheduled absences and holidays alongside their capacity, giving you an accurate picture of their availability before planning work.
Troubleshooting
Absences are not appearing in Resource Planning.
Confirm that the absence or holiday has been saved in the Scheduler or Absence Calendar. Only scheduled entries will appear in Resource Planning. If the entry exists but is still not visible, check whether an active filter is hiding it.
The Only show planned hours checkbox has no visible effect.
This checkbox filters out entries where hours have already been used. If no planned-only entries exist for the resource, the view may appear empty. Deselect the checkbox to confirm entries are present.

Who can schedule absences for a resource?
Admin users can access the Absence Calendar to schedule absences. Admins, controllers, and project managers can use the Scheduler.
Do absences affect resource capacity automatically?
Yes. Once an absence or holiday is scheduled, the hours are automatically deducted from the resource's available capacity in Resource Planning. No manual update is required.
Can I view absences across all resources at once?
The Capacity Management dashboard gives an overview of all resources. The detailed planning view with absence filters is opened per individual resource by clicking Planning.
