How to Add a Contract Line in a Contract Template

Objective

This article explains how to add a new contract line to a contract template in PSOhub, including how to set the group, billing type, and pre-defined values.

Prerequisites

Eligible access
        You must have Admin user access in PSOhub.

Contract template ready
        At least one contract template must already exist in PSOhub.

Steps

  1. Click the Gear icon in the main menu to open Settings.
  2. Select Templates. Make sure you are on the Contract tab.
  3. Click the template you want to add a contract line to.
  4. Click the + button in the corresponding contract group where you want to all the new line.
  5. Select the line type from the pop-up selection: Fixed fee, Time & materials, Product, Retainer or Expense
  6. In the Contract line template dialog box, complete the following fields:
Field Description
Group Select the contract group this line belongs to.
Line ID PSOhub automatically assigns the next available Line ID. Use the dropdown to change it if needed.
Name Enter a name for the contract line.
Amount Optional. Enter a pre-defined amount to carry over to the project when the template is selected.

Sales Budget

Optional. Enter a pre-defined budget value to carry over to the project when the template is selected.
   Budget                   Costs    Optional. Enter a pre-defined budget value to carry over to the project when           the template is selected.

📌 Note: The contract line name must not contain an apostrophe (') or double-quotes (")              character.

        7.   Enter the Billing information for the contract line if applicable.
   
        8.   Customize Configuration if necessary. 
 
        9.   Click Save.
 

📌 Note: There is a limit of 20 contract lines per contract group. If you need more than 20          lines, use additional contract groups to accommodate them.

Result

The new contract line is added to the contract template and will be available the next time the template is used to create a project contract. Existing projects created from this template are not affected.
