How to Modify a Contract Line in a Template

Objective
This article explains how to modify an existing contract line within a contract template in PSOhub, including how to update the name, description, billing type, and pre-defined values.
Prerequisites
You must have Admin user access in PSOhub.
At least one contract template with contract lines must already exist in PSOhub.
Steps
- Click the Gear icon in the main menu to open Settings.
- Select Templates.
- Click the template that contains the contract line you want to modify.
- Click the contract line you want to edit.
- Update the fields below as needed. Click Save when complete.

| Group | The contract group this line belongs to. |
| Line ID | The identifier for this contract line within the template. |
| Line Name | The display name of the contract line. |
| Description | An optional description of the contract line. |
| Type | The billing type for this line (Fixed fee, Time & Materials, Product, Retainer or Expense). |
| Amount | The pre-defined amount to carry over to the project when the template is selected. This field can be left blank. |
| Sales Budget | The pre-defined sales budget to carry over to the project when the template is selected. This field can be left blank. |
📌 Note: The contract line name must not contain an apostrophe (') or double-quotes (") character.
💡 Tip: Pre-defined values such as Description, billing Type, Amount, and Sales Budget are carried over to the project automatically when the template is selected. These fields are optional — leave them blank if you prefer to define the values at the project level.
Result
The contract line is updated in the template. The changes will apply the next time this template is used to create a project contract. Existing projects that were previously created from this template are not affected.
