Objective

This article explains how to create a task template in PSOhub — either from scratch in Settings or by converting an existing project plan — so your team can reuse consistent task structures across projects.

Prerequisites

You must have Admin user access in PSOhub.

Option 1: Create a Task Template in Settings

Steps

  1. Click the Gear icon in the main menu to open Settings.
  2. Click on Templates and select the Task tab.
  3. Click Create.
  4. Complete the following fields:
Field Description
Name Enter a name for the task template.
Create task lists based on contract template Optional. Select a contract template to use its contract lines as the basis for the task lists in this task template. Tasks created in these task lists will post time to the corresponding contract line.
Currency Select the currency for this task template. Defaults to the organization's base currency. Only relevant if multiple currencies are configured.
Description Optional. Enter a description for the task template. This description is displayed when selecting a task template in a project.

📌 Note: The task template name must not contain an apostrophe character (').

        5.   Click Create.

        6.   Once the template is created, your next step is to add tasks and task lists.

  • If you did not select a contract template:

Click + Add task list or Add first task list to create task lists manually, then add tasks to each list.

  • If you selected a contract template:

The template is pre-filled with a task list for each contract line of the selected contract template. Click the + button on each task list to add tasks.

💡 Tip: When you create a task template based on a contract template, both templates              can be selected together when creating a new project directly in PSOhub.

Option 2: Convert an Existing Project Plan into a Template

Steps

📌 Note: You can turn any existing project plan into a reusable task template.

  1. In the main menu, click Projects.
  2. Open the project whose plan you want to convert.
  3. Click on the Tasks tab.
  4. Click the ellipsis (...) button.
  5. Select Convert to template.
