Objective
This article explains what a Product contract line is in PSOhub, how it is structured, and how it fits into the financial management of a project contract.
Introduction
A Product contract line in PSOhub represents an individual product included in a project contract. Each line defines what is being delivered, how it is priced, and how it contributes to the overall financial structure of the project.
Product contract lines connect your contract to your Price List, ensuring consistent pricing, cost tracking, and profitability reporting across all projects.
📌 Note: Product contract lines cannot be used for time booking. Expenses can be recorded against them.
How a Product Contract Line Fits Into Your contract
In PSOhub, a contract is made up of contract groups and contract lines. Each contract line defines a specific component of the work or delivery — such as a service, a subscription, or a physical product.
When you select Product as the billing type for a contract line, PSOhub connects that line to your configured Price List. This allows you to select a product with predefined pricing, apply a quantity, and let PSOhub calculate the total amount, margin, and budget values automatically.
This structure gives you full visibility into what has been agreed, what it costs internally, and how it contributes to the project's profitability.

How Product Contract Lines Support Financial Management
Product contract lines give Admins, Controllers, and Project Managers a structured way to track product-based revenue and costs within a project.
By linking each line to a Price List, pricing remains consistent across projects. The cost per unit and price per unit values allow PSOhub to calculate estimated and actual margins in real time, giving you an accurate picture of profitability at the line level.
Budget alerts and the disable-on-budget-reached setting help you stay in control of costs without having to monitor each project manually.
