PSOhub 6.1.1 — Default Teams for Faster Project Staffing
Save your go-to project teams once, with roles, rates and backup PMs, and add them to any project in a single step
Released: 17 October 2026
Audience
- Admins, Controllers and Project Managers — default teams are managed by Admins and Controllers
Dear PSOhub user,
With version 6.1.1, PSOhub introduces Default Teams: saved sets of people you regularly staff together. Each member of a default team has a project role, a selling rate, a cost rate and, where applicable, a backup PM setting. Instead of adding people to a project one by one, you can now add a whole default team in one go, either on an existing project or while creating a new one.
Adding a default team is a one-time copy. Once the members are on the project, the project and the default team are no longer linked, so you stay free to adjust the project team and its rates as the work requires.
This release also includes a few smaller improvements and fixes, listed under 🔧 Improvements and 🐞 Fixes.
✨ What's New
One Place to Manage Your Default Teams
Default Teams are saved sets of people you regularly staff together. Each member has a project role, a selling rate, a cost rate and an optional Backup PM setting. Instead of adding people to a project one by one, you add the whole team in one go.
- Manage your teams in one place: Admins and Controllers create, edit, duplicate, archive and delete Default Teams under Settings > User Management > Default Teams.
- Add a team to an existing project: use the new Add Default Team button on the project’s Team & Rates tab. A preview shows who will be added before you confirm.
- Start new projects with a ready-made team: the Team & Rates step of the New project wizard now opens with a Start from a default team block.
Each Default Team uses one currency and can only be added to projects in that currency. Adding a team is a one-time copy, so you can still adjust the project team and its rates afterward.

A Quick Introduction
The first time an Admin or Controller opens the home dashboard after this release, a short introduction explains default teams and how to use them. Set up default teams takes you straight to the new tab; Maybe later closes it. The introduction is shown once per user.
⚠️ Good to Know
- One currency per team — a default team only accepts resources with a role in its currency and can only be added to projects in that same currency. Rates are never converted using exchange rates. The currency is locked once the team has members.
- Changes don't travel back — editing, archiving or deleting a default team never changes projects it was already added to.
- Backup PM — only users with Admin, Controller or Project Manager access can be set as backup PM. The project manager of the project is never set as backup PM.
- No duplicates — one person can be in several default teams. Adding overlapping teams to the same project does not create duplicate team members.
- Inactive users — they stay in a default team, shown greyed out and struck through, and are skipped when the team is added to a project.
- Closed and archived projects — the Add Default Team button is hidden, just like Add Member(s).
📌 Note: The project team list does not show which default team a member came from. In the New project wizard, a team counts as used as soon as you click Add to team, even if you cancel the wizard afterwards. The introduction cannot be reopened, but you can always find default teams under Settings > User Management > Default Teams.
🔧 Improvements
- Inline task editing — you can now edit tasks directly in the grid on a project's Tasks tab, without opening each task.
🐞 Fixes
- Accurate times when dragging events — when you add an event by dragging across a time range, the start and end times now consistently match your selection.
- Project files for all PM users — project files now display correctly for PM Basic and PM No Cost Rate users.
- Tasks Only view restored for guests — guest users with Tasks Only access can once again open the project's Tasks Only view, including the Timeline, without needing a shareable link.
🎯 Impact
- Faster project setup — staff a project with a complete, correctly priced team in one step instead of adding people one by one.
- Consistent rates and roles — the selling rates, cost rates and backup PMs you agree on once are applied the same way every time.
- Full control on every project — adding a team is a one-time copy, so you can still fine-tune each project without affecting your saved teams.
- No new workflows to learn — members added through a default team look and behave exactly like members added with Add Member(s), including emails and the activity log.
- Smoother day-to-day use — faster task editing, more reliable event times, consistent file access and restored guest views remove small friction points from daily work.
