Objective

This article explains how to create Default Teams in PSOhub with members, rates and Backup PMs. It also explains how to edit, duplicate, archive, restore and delete a Default Team.

Prerequisites

You have Admin or Controller access in PSOhub

Your HubSpot account is connected to PSOhub

The customer company exists in HubSpot and has been pushed into PSOhub

Create a Default Team

Steps

  1. Go to Settings > User Management.
  2. Click the Default Teams tab.
  3. Click Add default team.
  4. Enter a Default team name.
  5. Select a Rate currency.
  6. Enter a Description (optional).
  7. Click Next.
  8. Under Available resources, select a Resource, Role, Business unit or Skill filter to show available people.
  9. Click + next to each person and role you want to add.
  10. Under Default team members, review the Selling rate and Cost rate for each member. Change the rates if needed.
  11. Switch on the Backup PM toggle for members who should be Backup PM on projects.
  12. Click Create default team.

Manage the Members of a Default Team

Steps

  1. Go to Settings > User Management > Default Teams.
  2. Click the name of the Default Team, or click Manage members.
  3. Add members with + or Add all, or remove members from Default team members.
  4. Change the Selling rate, Cost rate or Backup PM toggle as needed.
  5. Click Save changes.

Edit the Details of a Default Team

Steps

  1. Go to Settings > User Management > Default Teams.
  2. Click ⋯ on the row of the Default Team.
  3. Select Edit default team.
  4. Update the Default team name or Description.
  5. Click Save changes.

📌 Note: The Rate currency can't be changed while the Default Team has members. To                use the same people in another currency, create a new Default Team in that currency.

Duplicate a Default Team

Steps

  1. Click ⋯ on the row of the Default Team.
  2. Select Duplicate default team.
  3. Review the name. PSOhub suggests Copy of followed by the original name.
  4. Confirm to create the duplicate.

The duplicate has the same currency, members, roles, rates and Backup PM settings. It shows Never used until you add it to a project.

Archive or Restore a Default Team

Archiving hides a Default Team from the project screens without deleting it.

Steps

  1. Click ⋯ on the row of the Default Team.
  2. Select Archive default team.
  3. Set the Status filter to Archived.
  4. Click ⋯ on the row of the Default Team.
  5. Select Restore default team.

Delete a Default Team

Steps

  1. Click ⋯ on the row of the Default Team.
  2. Select Delete default team.
  3. Confirm the deletion.

🚨 Warning: Deleting a Default Team can't be undone. Archive the Default Team instead             if you may need it again.

Result

Your Default Team is saved and available to add to projects in the same currency. Changes to a Default Team never affect projects it was already added to.

FAQs and Troubleshooting

Why doesn't a person appear under Available resources?
The person has no project role in the team's currency, or your filters exclude them. Check the person's roles and clear or change the filters.

Why is the Backup PM toggle missing for a member?
Only users with Admin, Controller or Project Manager access can be Backup PM. Update the user's access level in User Management to make the toggle available.

Why can't I change the Rate currency?
The currency is locked while the Default Team has members. Create a new Default Team in the other currency instead.

Why do I see "A default team with this name already exists"?
Default Team names must be unique within your organization, across all currencies. Choose another name.

Why is a member shown in grey and struck through?
The user is inactive. The member stays in the Default Team but is not added to projects. Reactivate the user to include them again.

Does editing a Default Team update projects that already use it?
No. Adding a Default Team to a project is a one-time copy. Later changes only apply the next time you add the team.

Can the same person be in a Default Team more than once?
Yes, with different roles. Each person-and-role combination is a separate member with its own rates.

How do I find a Default Team quickly?
Use the search box above the list. It searches team names, descriptions and member names. You can also filter by Currency and Status.
