Objective

This article explains how to add a Default Team to an existing project or to a new project in PSOhub. You add all members, roles, rates and Backup PMs of the Default Team in one go.

Prerequisites

You have Admin, Controller, or Project Manager access in PSOhub

An active Default Team must exist in the same currency as the project.

The project must not be closed or archived.

Steps

  1. Go to Projects and click +Create project.
  2. Select the project currency and the project manager in the project details.
  3. Continue to the Team & Rates step.
  4. In the Start from a default team block, search for a Default Team or click one of the Recent teams.
  5. Review the confirmation message. It shows how many members will be added and how many are Backup PM.
  6. Click Add to team.
  7. Add or remove individual team members if needed.
  8. Click Create Project.

Result

The eligible members of the Default Team are added to the project with their saved roles, selling rates, cost rates and Backup PM settings. New members receive the normal "added to project" email, and the Default Team moves to the top of the list as the most recently used team.

You can still change rates or remove members on the project afterward. Later changes to the Default Team don't affect the project.

FAQs and Troubleshooting

Why can't I see the Add Default Team button?
The project is closed or archived, or you don't have Admin, Controller or Project Manager access. The button follows the same rules as Add Member(s).

Why isn't my Default Team in the list?
The Default Team uses a different currency than the project, or it is archived. Ask an Admin or Controller to restore the team or create one in the project currency.

Why is a member marked "Already in team · will be skipped"?
The same person with the same role is already in the project. PSOhub skips the member and keeps the existing rates. The same person with a different role is added as a new member.

Why is a member marked "Role no longer valid · will be skipped"?
The role saved in the Default Team is no longer assigned to that person. Assign the role to the user again, or update the Default Team.

Why is someone from my Default Team not added to the project?
The user is inactive. Inactive users stay in the Default Team but are never added to projects.

Why is the Add to project button disabled?
Nobody in the Default Team can be added, for example because everyone is already in the project.

Why isn't the project manager set as Backup PM?
The project manager of a project is never set as Backup PM, even if the Default Team marks them as Backup PM. All other Backup PM settings are copied.
