Objective

This article explains how to connect a PSOhub OData report template in Excel to your PSOhub account so the template populates with your own data.

Prerequisites

You must have Admin user access in PSOhub.

A PSOhub OData report template file must already be downloaded and available in                Excel.

You must have your PSOhub login credentials available.

Steps

  1. Open the OData template file in Excel. If the file opens in protected view, click Enable Editing.
  2. Click Enable Content to allow data connections.
  3. Navigate to the Data tab in Excel.
  4. Click Get Data and select Data Source Settings.
  5. In the Data Source Settings window, select the source https://www.psohubapp.com/odata/psohub/v2/ and click Edit Permissions.
  6. In the next window, click Edit.
  7. Enter your PSOhub login credentials and click Save.
  8. Click OK to close the permissions window.
  9. Click Close to close the Data Source Settings window.
  10. In the Excel toolbar, click the dropdown arrow next to Refresh All and select Refresh All.
  11. At the bottom left of your screen, a progress indicator shows data synchronization with your PSOhub organization in progress. Initial load time varies depending on the volume of data being retrieved.
  12. Once the Running background query message disappears, the report is fully updated with your PSOhub data.

Result

Your OData report template is connected to your PSOhub account and populated with your organization's data. Each time you open the file and click Refresh All, Excel retrieves the latest data from PSOhub.

💡 Tip: For large organizations with significant data volumes, the initial load may take                  several minutes. Subsequent refreshes are typically faster as Excel caches the                            connection settings.
