Objective

This article explains how to use the Forecast by Project view in PSOhub to monitor planned versus actual hours and revenue across all projects, so you can identify over- or under-utilization at a glance.

Prerequisites

You must have Admin, Controller, Resource Manager, or Project Manager access.

Resource planning must be configured for your projects. Planned hours are sourced                from the Resource Planning module at the project level.

Steps

  1. Click Resources in the top navigation bar.
  2. Select Forecast by Project.
    • Year — displays data for a fixed calendar year.
    • Rolling — displays a rolling 12-month window starting from the current date.Choose your date range mode using the Year / Rolling toggle:
  3. Choose what data to display using the Planned / Actuals toggle:
    • Planned — shows hours or revenue that have been planned via the Resource Planning module.
    • Actuals — shows hours or revenue that have been booked by resources.
  4. To control which projects appear in the list, use the Show All / Only Planned toggle:
    • Show All — displays all projects regardless of whether hours have been planned.
    • Only Planned — filters the list to projects that have planned hours.
  5. Switch between Hours and Revenue using the toggle on the right side of the toolbar to change the values displayed in the monthly columns.
  6. Use the filter dropdowns to narrow the view

💡 Tip: Use the Search project or customer field on the right to find a specific project or              customer quickly.

        7.    Review the project grid. Each row shows a project and its business unit, with monthly                                  columns displaying the planned or actual hours/revenue for that period. The Total column                      summarizes all values across the visible date range.

        8.    If not all projects are visible, click Load More at the bottom of the list.

Result

You now have a clear view of planned versus actual hours or revenue across your project portfolio for any rolling or fixed 12-month period. Use this view to spot gaps between planned and actual utilization and to make resourcing adjustments before they affect delivery.

Troubleshooting

A project is not appearing in the list.
Check that Show All is selected. If Only Planned is active, projects without planned hours will not appear. Also verify the active filter dropdowns — an applied stage, type, or business unit filter may be excluding the project.

Planned hours are not showing for a project.
Planned hours in Forecast by Project are sourced from the Resource Planning module. Confirm that resources have been planned at the project level before expecting data to appear here.

The monthly columns do not cover the period I need.
Switch between Year and Rolling using the date range toggle. Rolling mode displays a 12-month window from the current date; Year mode locks to a calendar year.

Frequently Asked Questions
