Objective
This article explains how to select tasks in a project plan and use the mass edit function to update multiple fields across multiple tasks at once.
Prerequisites
Eligible access
You must have Admin or Project Manager access in PSOhub.
Pre-existing project with task list
A project with a plan containing at least one task list must already exist.
Steps
- Open the project in PSOhub and click the Tasks tab.
- Select the tasks you want to edit by clicking the individual task checkboxes located to the left of each task name.
- The Tasks selected toolbar appears at the bottom of the screen, showing the number of tasks selected.
- Click the Edit button in the toolbar. The Mass edit tasks dialog box appears.
- Update the relevant fields and click Save.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Start date | Set the start date for all selected tasks. |
| Due date | Set the due date for all selected tasks. |
| Effort (only if selected task effort is 0) | Enter an estimated number of hours to complete the tasks. Effort can be pushed to resource planning, making your budget more granular and allowing effective allocation of time by category of work. |
| Assign to project members | Assign the selected tasks to one or more project team members. |
| Assign to business unit | Assign the tasks to a business unit. Tasks assigned to a business unit can only be viewed by resources belonging to that unit. |
| Assign to role | Assign a project role to the tasks. Useful when the specific resource is not yet confirmed. |
| Priority | Set the priority level for all selected tasks: N/A, Low, Medium, or High. |
| Status | Set the status for all selected tasks: To do, In progress, or Completed. |
Result
All selected tasks are updated with the values entered. Fields left blank in the dialog are not changed — only the fields you complete are applied to the selected tasks.
📌 Note: If you entered effort values, these can be pushed to resource planning to support capacity and budget planning at the task level.
