How to Find Unassigned Tasks & Assign Them to Resources

Objective

This article explains how to find unassigned tasks quickly in PSOhub using the Only Unassigned filter and how to assign them to resources, both from the All Tasks view and from directly within a project.

Prerequisites

Eligible access
        You must have Project Manager, Admin, or Controller access in PSOhub.

How to Find & Assign Unassigned Tasks in All Tasks

Steps

 💡 Tip: Use this approach when you want to review and assign unassigned tasks across all           projects in your organization or business unit.

  1. Click Tasks in the main menu.
  2. Select All Tasks.
  3. Select the List or Kanban view.
  4. Click Only Unassigned to filter the list to unassigned tasks only.
  5. Use the filters to refine the results further if needed.
  6. To assign a task to a single resource, click the blank resource field on the task row or task card and select the resource's name. 
  7. To assign a task to multiple resources, click the task name to open the task details. In the Assigned to field, select the resources you want to assign.
  8. Click Save.

How to Find & Assign Unassigned Tasks within a Project

Steps

  1. Open the project in PSOhub.
  2. Navigate to the project's Tasks tab.
  3. Select the List or Kanban view.
  4. Click Only Unassigned to filter the list to unassigned tasks only.
  5. To assign a task to a single resource, click the blank resource field on the task row or task card and select the resource's name.
  6. To assign a task to multiple resources, click the task name to open the task details. In the Assigned to field, select the resources you want to assign.
  7. Click Save.

Result

The selected tasks are assigned to one or more resources. Assigned tasks appear under the resource's name in the plan and update the task total accordingly. Tasks assigned to multiple resources display the first team member's initials with a number indicating the total number of assignees.
