Objective

This article explains how to set up recurring tasks in PSOhub so that repeating work is automatically recreated with a new start and due date each time the original task is completed.

Prerequisites

A project with at least one task list should exist.

You must have access to the project where the task is being created.

Steps

  1. Open the project where you want to add the recurring task.
  2. Go to the Tasks tab.
  3. Locate the task list where the task should be added, then click the + icon on the right side of the task list row.
  4. Enter a name for the task in the Line name field (for example, Weekly Meeting).
  5. Set the Start date and Due date for the first occurrence. The gap between these two dates determines how often the task recurs.
  6. Set the Effort (hours) if the task has a planned duration.
  7. Assign the task to a resource or role if required, using the Assigned to or Select a role fields.
  8. Toggle the Recurring switch to On
  9. Click Save.

How Recurrence Works

When the recurring task is marked as complete, PSOhub prompts you to create the next occurrence.

  1. In the task list, click the circle to the left of the recurring task to mark it as complete.
  2. A Recurring task confirmation window appears, asking whether you want to add the task again with the previous due date as the new start date.
  3. Click Yes to create the next occurrence. Click No if you do not want the task to recur this time.

📌 Note: When you click Yes, the original task is marked as completed and a new task is                created with the same name, effort, and assignment. The new start date is set to the              previous due date, and the new due date is calculated using the same interval as the                original task.

Result

The recurring task is set up. Each time the task is marked as complete and you confirm the recurrence, a new instance is automatically added to the task list with updated start and due dates, ready for the next cycle.
