Objective

This article explains how to create a project in PSOhub from an existing Salesforce opportunity, link your team, and configure the project so you can begin tracking time and expenses.

Prerequisites

You have Admin, Controller, or Project Manager access in PSOhub.

Your Salesforce integration is connected and active in PSOhub.

The opportunity in Salesforce is linked to an Account.

At least one contract template exists in PSOhub.

Steps

  1. Navigate to Projects in the main menu and select Projects.
  2. Click Create.
  3. In the creation window, click the Salesforce tile.
  4. In the Search opportunities in Salesforce window, type the name of the opportunity (you can enter the first few characters).
  5. Click Search.
  6. Search for an select the opportunity you want to create a project from.

📌 Note: Only opportunities linked to a Salesforce Account are displayed in PSOhub.

       7.    The Project Quick Setup window appears. Complete the fields to configure your project.                        Click Next.

💡 Tip: If you are still setting up the project before work begins, set the stage to Proposal.          You can change it to Active when you are ready to go live.

       8.    Select a contract template from the list. The contract defines the structure for booking time                   and expenses and for invoicing. Click Next.

       9.    Add your team - Use the Filter on Business Unit dropdown to narrow down the user list if                        needed.

      10.    Select the users you want to assign and click Add to team.

       11.    Confirm the selection in the Project members field. Click Create.

Result

The project is created in PSOhub and linked to the Salesforce opportunity. Company and contact information from the opportunity are automatically imported into the project.

Any changes to the contract, budget, and team members are tracked in the project's Activity feed and reflected in the related opportunity and company record in Salesforce.

Troubleshooting

The Salesforce tile is not visible in the Create window.
Your Salesforce integration may not be active. Check your integration settings under Settings > Integrations and confirm that Salesforce is connected.

The opportunity does not appear in search results.
Only opportunities linked to a Salesforce Account are visible in PSOhub. Open the opportunity in Salesforce and confirm an Account is associated before searching again.

The project was created but company or contact details are missing.
PSOhub imports company and contact data at the time of project creation. If records are missing, check that the opportunity in Salesforce has a linked Account and associated contacts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I link an existing PSOhub project to a Salesforce opportunity after creation?
No. The Salesforce link must be established during project creation. If a project already exists without the link, you will need to create a new project from the opportunity or manage the association manually in Salesforce.

Will changes in Salesforce automatically update the PSOhub project?
Key fields sync between Salesforce and PSOhub, and project activity is reflected in the related opportunity. However, not all fields sync automatically — validate the specific sync behavior with your Salesforce integration settings.

What happens if I create a project from an opportunity already used for another project? PSOhub will create a new project linked to the same opportunity. Both projects will appear in the Activity feed of the Salesforce opportunity.
