How to Create a Time Entry for Another Resource
Book time entries on behalf of your team members as an Admin, Controller, or Project Manager

Objective
This article shows you how to record hours for another user within a specific project or via the global hours overview.
Prerequisites
Ensure the following are in place before logging time for others:
You have Admin or Controller access to book for any resource.
Project Managers can only book for team members on their own projects.
The resource must be assigned as a team member on the project.
Steps
Method 1: Via the Project Hours section

Open the specific Project.

Locate the Hours section in the top bar of the project.

Click Log time.

Select the team member in the Resource field.

Enter the Date, Number of hours, and Time classification.

Complete the project details, including Line ID, Task, and Role.

Click Save.
Method 2: Via the Hours overview list

Go to Time & Expenses > All Hours.

Click Log time.

Select the team member in the Resource field.

Enter the Date and Number of hours.

Select the Customer and Project.

Select the Task and Role.

Enter a Description for the work.

Click Save.
Result
The system records the hours against the selected project and resource. The entry automatically appears in the team member's personal Timesheet Grid and Timesheet Calendar.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I search for a resource by name?
Yes. Use the dropdown arrow in the Resource field and type the first few letters of the name to filter the list.
Why can't I see a specific project after selecting a resource?
The Project field filters automatically to show only the projects where that specific resource is a team member.
