Objective
This article explains how to select and manage tasks within a plan template in PSOhub, including how to mass edit, move, copy, and delete tasks before the template is applied to a project.
Prerequisites
You must have Admin or Project Manager access in PSOhub.
A plan template must already exist in PSOhub.
Steps
- Click the Settings icon (gear icon) in the main menu.
- Select Templates.
- Click on the Plan tab.
- Select the plan template you want to modify.
To Edit or Delete a Task List
-
Click the ellipsis (⋯) button in the top-right corner of the task list within the plan template.
-
Select Edit group to make changes to the task list.
-
Select Delete to eliminate the task list from the template.
To Add a Task List or Task
-
To add a task list to your plan template, click +Add task list.
-
To add a task, simply click the + button on the task list where you want to add the task. Enter the task information you want reflected in the template.
To Edit Tasks
-
Click on the name of the task you want to edit to open its details. Make changes accordingly.
-
Alternatively, you can simply click certain task fields like Start Date and Due Date to make changes directly in the template's list view.
-
The third way to edit tasks is by selecting multiple tasks within the template to mass edit, move, copy, or delete before the template is applied to a project.
-
To do so, click the checkboxes next to multiple tasks to select. The multi-selection menu bar appears at the bottom of the screen, showing the total number of tasks selected.
-
Choose an action from the menu bar:
-
Edit - mass edit the selected tasks. You can pre-assign users, set effort estimates, and define priority.
-
Move - move the selected tasks to a different task list within the template.
-
Copy - copy the selected tasks to another task list within the template.
-
Delete - permanently remove the selected tasks from the template.
-
Clear selection - deselect all tasks without making any changes.
🚨 Warning: Deleting tasks from a plan template is permanent and cannot be undone.
Result
The selected tasks and task lists are updated, moved, copied, or deleted as chosen. Changes made to a plan template take effect for all future projects that use this template. Existing projects that were already created from this template are not affected.
