Objective

This article explains how to select and manage tasks within a plan template in PSOhub, including how to mass edit, move, copy, and delete tasks before the template is applied to a project.

Prerequisites

Eligible access
You must have Admin or Project Manager access in PSOhub.

Pre-existing template
A plan template must already exist in PSOhub.

Steps

  1. Click the Settings icon (gear icon) in the main menu.
  2. Select Templates.
  3. Click on the Plan tab.
  4. Select the plan template you want to modify.

To Edit or Delete a Task List

  1. Click the ellipsis (⋯) button in the top-right corner of the task list within the plan template.

  2. Select Edit group to make changes to the task list.

  3. Select Delete to eliminate the task list from the template.

To Add a Task List or Task

  1. To add a task list to your plan template, click +Add task list.

  2. To add a task, simply click the + button on the task list where you want to add the task. Enter the task information you want reflected in the template.

To Edit Tasks

  1. Click on the name of the task you want to edit to open its details. Make changes accordingly.

  2. Alternatively, you can simply click certain task fields like Start Date and Due Date to make changes directly in the template's list view.

  3. The third way to edit tasks is by selecting multiple tasks within the template to mass edit, move, copy, or delete before the template is applied to a project.

  4. To do so, click the checkboxes next to multiple tasks to select. The multi-selection menu bar appears at the bottom of the screen, showing the total number of tasks selected.

  5. Choose an action from the menu bar:

  • Edit - mass edit the selected tasks. You can pre-assign users, set effort estimates, and define priority.

  • Move - move the selected tasks to a different task list within the template.

  • Copy - copy the selected tasks to another task list within the template.

  • Delete - permanently remove the selected tasks from the template.

  • Clear selection - deselect all tasks without making any changes.

🚨 Warning: Deleting tasks from a plan template is permanent and cannot be undone.

Result

The selected tasks and task lists are updated, moved, copied, or deleted as chosen. Changes made to a plan template take effect for all future projects that use this template. Existing projects that were already created from this template are not affected.
