How Do HubSpot and PSOhub Integrate?

Objective

Understand how the HubSpot integration with PSOhub works, and what data is sent from HubSpot to PSOhub at the deal, contact and company, and service ticket levels.

Introduction

The integration between HubSpot and PSOhub operates at three levels: deal, contact and company, and service ticket.

Each level determines what data syncs from HubSpot to PSOhub, and how that data is used once it arrives. 

Deal Level: Create a Project

When you promote a HubSpot deal to a PSOhub project, PSOhub receives the following fields from HubSpot:

  • Deal name
  • Deal description
  • Deal amount
  • Company
  • Contacts related to the company deal
  • Contacts related to the company

 You can view these contacts on the project's Team tab, under the Contacts sub-tab. 

 These contacts are also stored in PSOhub's global Contacts module. 

The PSOhub Activity feed synchronizes with the HubSpot deal.

You can also push the project value back to the deal. From the Financials tab, click the ellipsis  (more options) menu and select Update deal value in CRM. The project value updates the deal value in HubSpot.

Deal Level: Create a Quote

When you promote a HubSpot deal to a PSOhub quote, PSOhub receives the following fields from HubSpot:

  • Deal name
  • Deal description
  • Company
  • Contacts

As with projects, you can view these contacts on the quote's Team tab, under the Contacts sub-tab.

Company Level: Create a Project

When you promote a HubSpot company to a PSOhub project, PSOhub receives only the company and contact fields.

Company Level: Create a Service Project

When you create a service project from a HubSpot customer, PSOhub carries over the company name and contacts. These fields appear in the project.

On the Financials tab, the 90 | Tickets contract group logs all HubSpot service tickets raised for this customer. 

You can log time against tickets in HubSpot, and PSOhub synchronizes those hours. The project displays the hours and the value of those hours. 

HubSpot ticket categories can also sync with PSOhub. When a ticket has a category, PSOhub syncs the time logged against it to the matching contract group in the service project. Tickets without a category, or with multiple categories, sync to the 90 | Tickets contract group by default. 

Service Ticket Level: Create a Ticket

When a ticket is raised in HubSpot, you can add the company and contacts. You can log time on the ticket, and PSOhub synchronizes it.

In the service project, PSOhub displays the value of the hours in the contract line generated by the ticket. The number of hours appears in the Hours pane on the right-hand side.
