Prerequisites
Before you can get started on creating your quote, the following must be true:
Eligible access
You must have Admin, Controller, Project Manager, or Sales Rep access in PSOhub.
Contract template ready
At least one contract template must already be configured in PSOhub.
Pre-existing customer
The customer must already exist in PSOhub.
Steps
Part 1: Identify the Quote
- Click Quotes in the main menu.
- In the Quotes module, click the +Create Quote button. The Let's start with your quote! dialog box opens.
- Complete the fields in Part 1, including Quote Name, Customer, Contract Template, Plan Template, Budget Template, Sales Rep, Business Unit, Type, Currency, and Due Days Quote.
- Read Quotes Field Definitions if you need more help with this part.
- Click Next Step.
Part 2: Quote Settings
- In Settings, select a Target Start Date and Expected End Date.
- Toggle ON Auto Completion if you want to update contract line completion based on task completion.
- Toggle ON Cascade Dates if you want to shift task dates based on the start date.
- Toggle ON Add Team from Plan if you want to automatically add the project team based on your selected plan template in Part 1.
- Click Next Step.
Part 3: Teams & Rates
- In Teams & Rates, assign team members to the quote if they are already known. If you toggled ON Add Team from Plan in Part 2, you will already see your resources populated here.
-
Click Create Quote.
-
Click Close when the system finishes creating your quote. The quote is now created and opens displaying the basic quote information and selected contract template.
💡 Tip: At this early stage of the sales process, team members are often unconfirmed. You can skip Step 3 and click Create Quote to proceed without adding team members now.
Part 4: Update Your Quote Details
- In the left-hand pane, click Edit (pencil icon) to update the quote details. For more information on these fields, read Quotes Field Definitions.
- Click Save.
Part 5: Configure the Contract
⚠️ Important: What you configure on the contract lines of your quote will carry over to the project once the quote has been approved and promoted.
- In the Financials tab of your quote, configure the financial terms for each contract line. This includes the billing model for each line: Fixed fee, Time & Materials, Product, Retainer and Expense.
-
This contract line configuration carries over to the project when the quote is promoted.
- Click Save and repeat for each contract line in the quote.
- To calculate budgets per contract line, click the Budget tab.
💡 Tip: If you have already added team members, you can select them in the Budget tab to plan hours by resource.
Result
Your quote is created, and the contract is configured with the agreed financial terms. The quote is now ready to be previewed and published for your customer to approve.
