Decline a Quote: How to Decline a Quote in PSOhub

Learn how a customer declines a quote in PSOhub and what the sales rep sees when a quote is declined

Objective

This article explains how a customer declines a published quote in PSOhub, what confirmation they receive, and how the sales rep is notified of the decision.

Prerequisites

Quote already submitted
        The quote must be at the Submitted stage and published as a digital link.

Customer has access to the link
        The customer must have access to the published quote link.

Steps

⚠️ Important: A PDF quote cannot be declined digitally through PSOhub. If a customer                declines a PDF quote, the sales rep must handle this manually, for example, by marking          the quote as Declined or revising and resubmitting.

  1. The customer opens the published quote link in their browser and clicks the Decline button.

  2. The Decline reason dialog box appears. The customer enters a reason for declining and clicks Decline.

  3. The quote updates to show the message This quote has been declined! confirming to the customer that their decision has been recorded.

  4. In the Quotes list in PSOhub, the quote stage updates to Declined.

  5. Based on your Notification settings for Quotes, you will receive an in-app alert and/or an email notifying you that the quote was declined, along with the reason the customer provided.

💡 Tip: To review or update your notification settings, click on your profile and select the              Notifications tab.

Result

The quote is marked as Declined in PSOhub. The customer's decline reason is recorded and sent to the sales rep. The quote can now be revoked, revised, and resubmitted, or copied to create a new version.
